My goal is to provide high quality instruction within a positive and enthusiastic environment. 

Part of my role as a teacher is to provide critique and point out areas that can be improved. However, this will always be done in a constructive manner. I believe in fostering a growth mindset and am committed to building each student’s self-confidence.

I will tailor my teaching to each student’s individual needs, learning style, and goals.

Students agree to arrive at each lesson punctually, well-prepared, and with their assigned books, necessary accessories and guitar. 

To make good progress, consistent quality practice is necessary. 

Please ask questions about assigned practice tasks. If something is unclear about the assignments or goals after the lesson, support is available via email.

Students must have a guitar and footstool/guitar support at home for practice. Guidance in selecting a guitar as well as a footstool/guitar support is included in tuition. 

Each student is responsible for purchasing the required sheet music and materials for lessons. Students will be expected to have the newly assigned materials within 2 weeks. 

For all studio related questions, communication via email is preferred. Please allow for a 24 hour response time for all communication during the week.  

Any communication during the weekend will be responded to the following Monday.

Tuition will be charged on the 1st of each month to the method on file with Fons. All payments are non-refundable.  

The studio is open for 46 weeks each calendar year. The weeks where lessons are not held (due to holidays, personal performance opportunities, or illness) will be given as much notice as possible. Studio closure weeks will not receive a make-up lesson credit.

*Please note that tuition reserves the weekly time slot, but may not directly correlate with lessons received if the student does not attend the scheduled lesson times.

When notice of a missed lesson is provided at least 24 hours in advance, the studio may provide up to 2 make-up lessons each term subject to availability. The structure of these terms are:

Term 1 (January - March)

Term 2 (April - June)

Term 3 (Jul - September)

Term 4 (October - December)

Make-up lessons must be used within 30 days.

Tuition is based on the number of lessons the studio schedules and will not be altered.

Planned vacations or other conflicts communicated in advance receive a make-up lesson credit for that month.

Teacher cancellations outside of the guaranteed 46 annual lessons will be rescheduled within 30 days.

In the case of mild teacher illness, severe weather, or other conflicts, lessons may be held online virtually. 

When virtual lessons are offered, in-person make-up lessons will not be offered. If the student opts out of the virtual lesson that lesson and tuition will be forfeited. 

If a student falls ill on the day of their in-person lesson, the student must either cancel their lesson or request to to have it held online. Any in-person lesson may be stopped if there is reason to believe that the student may be contagious.

To end enrolment for the coming month, notice must be received via email by the 15th of the current month.

I grant Jesse Flowers my permission to use photographs and videos which feature my likeness / my child’s likeness. I understand that these photographs and videos may be from lessons, performances, and any other studio events. I acknowledge that photographs and videos featuring myself / my child’s likeness may be shared for any legal use, including but not limited to: studio communication, publicity, social media, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising, and web content.

Photographs and videos shared publicly will blur/cover any minor's faces (and adults upon request). Students will be identified only by first name or upon request remain unnamed.
